Economic actors facing the integration of biodiversity issues in their business strategy.
After the first seminar in January 2022 dedicated to the presentation of scientific knowledge on the erosion of biodiversity, the French Academy of Technologies continued its work with a second seminar, on June 8, 2022, on the integration of biodiversity issues by economic actors. How are these issues perceived, analyzed and implemented in the strategy of companies?
Invited by Bernard Chevassus-au-Louis, President of Humanity & Biodiversity, Laurent Mogno, President of ECT, presented ECT’s model of non-built development through the recovery of excavated soil from urban construction sites. He described how the company acts by taking into account its impacts and their evaluation. Beyond the regulations, the desire to be a net contributor to biodiversity requires ECT to include in its strategy a commitment to the environmental performance of its projects.
