The départemental park of La Courneuve, which covers 990 acres, was entirely created, and has been artificially reshaped, by bringing in soil from elsewhere.
Classified as a Natura 2000 site, the park is characterised by its diversity: Wooded areas, lawns, wild grassland, flower gardens and lakes. In this park, ECT handled part of the inert soil that was brought in, and made the Lac des Oiseaux (the Lake of Birds) watertight.
