The creation of the first stadium in the Île-de-France region for mountain biking and trials riding, at Epône in the département of Yvelines.
On this project, ECT is working with the cycle club ‘ORC Epône’. The club has more than 70 members. They do several branches of the sport (cross-country mountain biking, trials riding, cyclo-cross, adult sport touring). ORC is a recognised cycle school and competition club within the Fédération Française de Cyclisme (FFC) scheme.
A development at the heart of the Yvelines, financed by bringing in inert soil.
ECT is financing and carrying out the reconfiguration of the sports facility by bringing in inert soil excavated from sites of the construction & public works sector in the west of the Île-de-France. This inert soil is making it possible to create mountain biking and trials riding areas across an area of nearly 5 acres, and to design a land surface that dovetails with the needs of these sports:
- Technical zones equipped with various workout installations, boulders and blocks.
- Tracks equipped with take-off ramps, moguls and bends.
- Hillsides for mountain bike training.
- Site landscaping that respects the environment.
The project in numbers:
Launch of the works in June 2020, for a period of 4 months.
The facilities in an area of 4.7 acres include :
- 150 m² of rock garden
- 300 m² of trials zone
- 600 m² of ‘pump track’
