Project presentation

This project, carried out in collaboration with the Commune d’Auby, aims to strengthen the green space offer and complement existing park facilities. Thanks to a partnership with ECT des Hauts-de-France, the industrial wasteland of Les Engrais will be transformed into a green space accessible to all. This project to renaturalize a degraded area is in line with the commitments of the French Climate Resilience Law and contributes to the city’s ZAN (Zero Net Artificialization) objective.

Cleaning up and securing the wasteland

October 2024 – The transformation project for this brownfield site is divided into two stages. The first takes place between September and November 2024, with the aim of cleaning up and securing the site. All non-inert waste will be removed from the site. A protective berm will be created to prevent illegal dumping. It will be seeded to limit the development of invasive exotic species.

A partnership to rehabilitate a brownfield site

September 2024 – The Friche des Engrais rehabilitation project in Auby aims to transform a former industrial site, once used for fertilizer production, into a green space accessible to all. The land, which has become a site for illegal dumping and invasions of exotic species, has been made watertight, making any form of natural vegetation impossible.
