Project life

Henri Bernard Park, a natural and recreational area

September 2024 – This new nature and leisure area is part of an initiative to enhance the living environment.
The new park complements the existing facilities by combining ecological features with leisure areas accessible to all.
The belvedere offers a breathtaking view over the banks of the Souchez, allowing visitors to take full advantage of the surrounding landscape.
The park promotes the protection of local flora and fauna through the creation of wooded areas and flower meadows.
And local residents can enjoy nature in a pleasant, relaxing setting.

Guinguette, août 2024, Loison-sous-Lens

Strengthening social cohesion and local activities

August 2024 – Parc Henri Bernard inaugurated its first guinguette as part of Les Guinguettes du Parc des Berges, organized by the Lens-Liévin Tourist Office.
This event reinforces the park’s role as a place of conviviality and exchange for the community.
It has become a veritable meeting and entertainment center.

A project driven by the principles of the circular economy

May 2024 – The Berges de la Souchez project, carried out in close collaboration with the town of Loison-sous-Lens, is taking shape to offer residents a new space for leisure and relaxation. Despite particularly difficult weather conditions, the local integration association NÅ“ux Environnement and our green spaces teams succeeded in planting 500 trees, sowing a prairie lawn and maintaining the site to guarantee optimal vegetation. At the same time, our operations teams took in the last of the inert soil from local construction sites, enabling us to finalize the ground contours.

September 2023, earthworks in progress

September 2023 – The project begins with an earthmoving phase to prepare the site for inert soil from local construction sites. The traceability of this land is a major challenge. From the excavation site to the reception site, the expertise of ECT’s services ensures the analysis, characterization, traceability and control of materials during the 4 months of soil input.

A project driven by the principles of the circular economy

This reinforcement project was eco-designed with the municipality of Loison-sous-Lens and carried out by ECT Hauts-de-France.
This site is part of the Parc des berges de la Souchez. The project will complete the site’s facilities. The creation of a belvedere will offer a view of the banks of the Souchez.
The project fulfils a number of functions:
– a place for relaxation, leisure and nature in the city, with the creation of woodland, copses, wetlands and an orchard,
– a space for meetings and entertainment, with the possibility of installing guinguettes.

All the plants planted come from the region’s flora and will be labelled “végétal local” (certified regional origin).
