Project presentation

This project, carried out in collaboration with the commune of Loison-sous-Lens, is part of the development of Cité 8. As David Guidé, deputy mayor, points out, “it was essential to enhance this abandoned plot of land.” Thanks to a partnership with ECT des Hauts-de-France, a leisure park has been designed, entirely financed by soil from local building sites.

Presentation of the management guide for the Square de la Pierre Bleue

January 2025 – The new layout of the Square de la Pierre Bleue is complete. ECT has provided Loison-sous-Lens town council’s technical services with a detailed management guide for its upkeep. It covers the upkeep of the various areas : urban lawn, flower meadow, hedges and beds, isolated trees and paths.  This development is part of an initiative to enhance the living environment of local residents. Created by ECT using inert soil from nearby construction sites, it contributes to the renaturation and improvement of the urban landscape.

A new park in the heart of Cité 8

September 2024 – A new green space is born in the heart of Cité 8. On a former wasteland abandoned for more than 10 years, a leisure and recreation park takes shape. This natural space, consisting of a flowery meadow and surrounded by grassy terraces, is fully secured with fencing and dedicated access for bicycles. This living space offers residents a new natural area and playground.

As part of the project, almost 1,000 seedlings of local varieties will be planted. Children from the local elementary school will be actively involved in the planting, in collaboration with the Noeux Environnement association.
