Project presentation
Inaugurated in October 2021, the project has been developed on land belonging to the commune of Epône (78). It has been entirely “eco-designed”, in partnership with the town and the ORC Epône club. The success of the project, which took just 4 months to complete, was rewarded with the double VTT-Trial label awarded by the French Cycling Federation.

This development is the symbol of genuine collaboration and consultation. This stadium fits in perfectly with the city's policy of sports and attractiveness, meeting our sustainable development challenges. We worked with ECT to find a site where inert soil from local building sites could be used to meet our need to redevelop a former training ground. This teamwork is a real success.
Our club has been awarded the "École de Vélo" and "Club de Compétition" labels. Today, it benefits from a rare, complete site for training and competition. The partnership with ECT has been very collaborative right from the design stage. The "Julien Absalon" stadium was created by adding soil. This represents a real opportunity to transform a flat terrain into a highly varied one, and to finance 5 different apparatus poles.

ECT sponsors the VTT-TRIAL SKF French Cup in Epône
May 12, 13, 14, 2023 – The Julien Absalon stadium in Epône (78) hosts a round of the SKF MTB-TRIAL Coupe de France. A weekend of high-level competitions, concerts and demonstrations. The 150 best French and foreign trialists will meet to compete on the 4 zones of the course. ECT is proud to sponsor this unique event, which takes place on a site built and financed by the company.
Epône, VTT-Trial stadium, press conference to announce French Cup stage
On October 4, 2022, the French Cycling Federation, ORC Epône, the Grand Paris Seine et Oise urban community and Epône town council were delighted to announce that the Julien Absalon MTB & Trials Stadium would host one of the stages of the SKF Trail MTB French Cup. An event not to be missed on May 12, 13 and 14, 2023. And enthusiastically supported by ECT.

The work was carried out over the summer in several stages: inert soil was brought in from construction sites in western Paris, the fertile substrate was laid, the models were finished, the stadium was set up and the apparatus was installed.
A project followed by the local press
On June 15, ECT announced the opening of a new site for the recovery of excavated inert soil. Three months later, we take a look back at a project that is now nearing completion. An achievement followed by the local press.
Urbafertil, a solution used to complete the planting of the site's hillsides
Once the soil has been added, it’s time for landscaping and planting. The fertile substrate manufactured in situ by ECT is a growing medium that does not require imported topsoil. This substrate is a fertile mix of inert soil and green waste compost. It will serve as a growing medium for the site’s trees and embankments.
Sport en ville: the 1st MTB-Trial site in Ile-de-France financed by inert soil deposits
ECT financed and carried out the reconfiguration of the sports arena, reusing inert soil excavated from construction sites in the western Paris region. This inert soil was used to create a mountain bike and trials area covering almost 2 hectares, and to design a landscape suited to the practice of these sports.
New project in the commune of Epône, in the Yvelines department
June 15, 2019 – ECT opens a new site in the commune of Epône, to create the first MTB-Trial site. The design of the project is a collaboration between the town of Epône, ECT and ORC, the local mountain bike-trial club. The ORC has over 70 members. He is involved in several disciplines (MTB Cross-Country, Trials, Cyclo-cross, Adult Randonnée Sportive). The ORC has been awarded the “Ecole de Vélo” and “Club de compétition” labels by the French Cycling Federation (FFC).
