Forum des travaux publics: “Investing in the ecological transition

FNTP organizes the Public Works Forum on February 24, 2022

The Grand Palais Ephémère in Paris is the venue for this event, which focuses on the ecological transition. The event culminated in a plenary session attended by the presidential candidates.

In the exhibition program, Federation members present some sixty innovations. They illustrate the transformation of construction sites, cities and regions in support of this great ambition.

One example is the “Parc de l’Arboretum” in Moissy-Cramayel. An area for relaxation, biodiversity, sport and leisure, entirely landscaped by ECT using inert soil.

This day is an opportunity to take part in workshops. These workshops provide a better understanding of the paths and territories of the future. Projecting into tomorrow’s world of public works. The socio-environmental ecological transition could be accelerated by innovation.

It’s also an opportunity to preview the Wonderworl documentary series. Produced by FNTP to showcase French civil engineering on the international stage.

UNEV and FNTP

On October 13, 2021, UNEV becomes the 17th public works specialty union to join FNTP.

UNEV was founded in 1972, and brings together companies involved in the recovery and treatment of waste from the construction and public works sector, in particular inert waste such as concrete and excavated earth.

This recovery is made possible by specific infrastructures, such as storage facilities complying with the best available techniques, grouping and sorting facilities, and landscaping.

At the heart of UNEV’s policy is the protection of the environment through virtuous waste management. It is implemented through a voluntary commitment to the circular economy, by promoting the responsibility of all players in the sector, but also through fairness for all, which translates into identical regulations for all facilities of the same kind.
