Improved traceability of excavated soil
The anti-waste and circular economy law known as the AGEC Law dates back to February 2020. It reinforces the traceability of waste, excavated soil and sediments. Its aim is to improve knowledge of these deposits, so that they can be better taken into account in the circular economy. And to take effective action to prevent environmental damage.
The decrees and ministerial orders following the AGEC law reinforce traceability, in particular by :
- changes in the form and information contained in quotations between earthmoving companies and ECT
- an increase in requests for prior acceptance
- an extension of the scope of the obligation to keep chronological registers
- the creation of a national register of excavated soil
