The Solar Impulse Foundation promotes efficient solutions for clean economic growth.
To meet ecological challenges without undermining economic growth, Bertrand Piccard and the Solar Impulse Foundation have identified 1000+ clean, cost-effective solutions. Its aim is to give political and economic decision-makers the tools to adopt much more ambitious energy and environmental policies. In this way, the Foundation aims to establish a roadmap for achieving their environmental objectives.
In February 2021, ECT was awarded the « Solar Impulse efficient Solution » label. ECT joins the club of 1000 solutions for sustainable development.
The label recognizes that the ECT model for reusing excavated soil for environmental development combines ecological qualities with economic profitability. This award confirms ECT’s ability to provide local authorities with effective solutions that are part of a circular economy for excavated soil.
« This solution takes up a challenge. It reuses soil from construction sites. In this way, it creates self-financed developments with a strong environmental and social contribution. These include renewable energies, the creation of urban nature and sports parks, urban agriculture and the conservation of flora and fauna. Thanks to the ECT model, local authorities can finance green developments on their territory. This turnkey solution for cities has no financial limits, since these projects are self-financing and ECT manages their operational implementation. »
