Missions and skills
The environmental technician works on our customers’ construction sites. He/she checks the application of the mesh plan. And, depending on the type of soil, ensures that excavated soil is disposed of in the right way.
Testimonial
“My job is to check the typology of the land. I have to make sure they go to the right treatment plants. If the soil is contaminated with hydrocarbons, we send it to our La Courneuve center for treatment. In the case of other types of pollution, they are not treated by ECT but in specialized centers. Only inert soil will be reused and recovered on ECT sites. Inert earth has, in essence, no life. Schematically, they correspond to the sedimentations that lie beneath the topsoil.”
Marc – Environmental technician
Environmental technicians work upstream of ECT sites. They work on the sites of the company’s customers, digging and excavating on construction sites. Thanks to the work of our environmental technicians, we are able to support our customers on their sites to ensure that the soil is properly disposed of. Soil traceability is a major challenge for ECT and its customers. Meet Marc, on a customer site. He ensures that the soil is loaded in accordance with the mesh plan, and that it is sent to the right reception site.
