ECT uses soil from construction sites to create a space for relaxation and recreation
September 2023 | ECT Hauts-de-France opens a new site in Loison-sous-Lens.
On the site, the reuse of excavated soil from local construction sites contributes directly to the creation of a new leisure and recreation area.
Work is scheduled to take 4 months.
Access
The new ECT site is 2 km from exit 12 “Carvin, Harnes, Loison-sous-Lens” on the A21 freeway.
To reinforce site access safety, compulsory routes must be taken on entering and leaving the site.
Prior to evacuating their soil on the site, earthworkers must have validated a Declaration of Prior Authorization for their worksite with ECT, and make a reservation with the dedicated ECT department.
A development project at the entrance to the Parc des Berges de la Souchez
in partnership with the commune
The transformation of the site is being carried out in partnership with the commune of Loison-sous-Lens.
The project is part of an initiative to create a leisure and relaxation area in the Parc des Berges de la Souchez. The project completes the site’s facilities, in particular with the creation of a belvedere.
The project has several functions:
- a place for nature in the city, with the creation of woodlands, copses, wetlands and an orchard,
- a space for relaxation, meetings and entertainment, with the possibility of installing “guinguettes”.
