ECT presents its activities to landscape professionals
ECT is at Paysalia to present its activities as a developer and reclaimer of excavated soil. And also to present its new product, Urbafertil, a growing medium and alternative to topsoil.
On our stand, several workshops were held with our partners Les Alchimistes and Astredhor:
- “The challenges of food waste recovery, synergies and waste recovery” by Camille Lepoutre, Les Alchimistes
- “The “Trees in the City” project” by Camille Soulard, Astredhor
- Review of Urbafertil experiments by Benjamin Tilliet, ECT.
The circular economy of excavated soil for "green cities
The reuse of inert soil represents an opportunity for the development of natural, agricultural or recreational areas. In addition, several years of research and development have gone into creating a fertile substrate suitable for planting in urban environments. ECT has thus created Urbafertil, its own brand of substrate. Its composition is adapted to each project, while complying with standard NF U44-551 (growing media).
Fertile substrate: a solution for restoring soil and its agro-ecological qualities
The fertile substrate is produced where it is used, reducing the carbon footprint of its use. Urbafertil is an eco-responsible product. It is derived from the recycling of green waste and building materials. The creation of this technosol makes it possible to vary soil qualities according to the services required: vegetation, biodiversity, drainage and bearing capacity. The manufacturing process is adjusted to meet the customer’s specifications. Objective: produce the right growing medium for the job.
