Education for sustainable development: ECT sets up initiatives for young audiences

Participate in Education for Sustainable Development (ESD)

ECT offers its services to elementary school as part of their Education for Sustainable Development program. The aim is to introduce students to the ECT projects underway in their local communities. These interventions raise awareness of the circular economy principle behind these developments: derelict sites take shape thanks to the reuse of soil from urban construction sites.

Last December, pupils atVasarely elementary school in Annet-sur-Marne (77) had the opportunity to discover two projects built using soil excavated from construction sites in the Paris region: the Gabots photovoltaic power plant (in partnership with Akuo) and the Carreaux site, currently under development.

Schools in Villeneuve sous Dammartin and Le Mesnil-Amelot were also made aware of the environmental issues managed by ECT.

Organizing local field trips

Young people’s interest in environmental protection is illustrated by visits organized to ECT sites close to schools. ECT offers nature discovery activities. Tree planting by students contributes directly to the renaturation of the site.

From design to implementation, all ECT development projects incorporate environmental concerns.
