A site to rehabilitate
In Roissy-en-Brie (77), ECT opens a new site on July 27. The purpose of reusing excavated soil is to restore and preserve a degraded agricultural environment. Prior to this, ECT cleaned the site of waste materials. The aim of this development is to restore vitality to the land. It will create an agricultural plateau and areas dedicated to biodiversity.
Preserving and enhancing an agricultural environment
The aim is to return the plots to their agricultural vocation. To achieve this, we need to restore the agronomic quality of the land. Rehabilitation therefore requires appropriate levelling to create fertile soil on the new 15-hectare agricultural plateau. After our intervention, the operator will be able to resume business. The agricultural vocation of the land will be preserved.
Recreating ecological continuity
The development recreates ecological coherence. It reinforces the continuity of the local landscape. The aim is to preserve natural habitats by :
- Preservation of existing natural environments (wetlands, ponds, watercourses and nearby woodlands).
- The reconstitution of a mosaic of environments restoring the area’s ecological and biodiversity corridors.
