On Thursday May 19, ECT organized a visit to the Boissy/Puiseux site, in the presence of the Prefect of the Val d’Oise.
At the end of January 2022, clean-up operations began at the former unauthorized landfill site. Managing, sorting and disposing of the 14,000 m3 of waste is an essential stage in the site’s transformation.
The visit organized by ECT enabled Philippe CourtPréfet du Val d’Oise, to Michel GUIARDMayor of Boissy-l’Aillerie, to Thierry THOMASSINMayor of Puiseux-Pontoise, as well as members of the municipal councils, the Cergy-Pontoise Urban Community and the Val d’Oise Departmental Council, to see how the work was progressing. And to note the advanced state of waste removal and the efficiency of the sorting platform, carried out by the REVA company.
It was also an opportunity to present in situ the future focal points of landscape and environmental renewal and agricultural redevelopment. The event was attended by the main landowner, a farmer, the Vice-President of the Val d’Oise Chamber of Agriculture and the President of the Parc Naturel Régional du Vexin français.
This site renovation project is self-financed by ECT’s contribution of inert soil. These contributions will begin in the 2nd half of 2022.
The Val d’Oise Prefecture and the Gendarmerie Nationale discussed the challenges of combating illegal dumping, a major environmental scourge.
