Missions and skills
The mechanical workshop plays a key role. It maintains and repairs ECT’s entire fleet of machines. The aim is to reduce machine downtime during breakdowns.
Testimonial
“I’m a bit like a fireman, I have to act quickly as soon as someone calls me to report a breakdown. Depending on the fault, I check whether we can repair it in-house or call in the supplier. The important thing is to treat the gear quickly, because we can’t afford to interrupt the operation of a site.”
Robin – mechanical workshop manager
ECT’s fleet comprises around a hundred construction machines, including bulls, dumpers, loaders, backhoe loaders, tankers and sweepers. Our mechanical workshop has a dedicated team that works on machines to maintain and repair them, so that they are ready for use on operating sites. Robin manages the schedule, orders, interventions and occasionally does some mechanical work. In partnership with Mag Journal 77, click here to read an interview with Robin, who we caught up with in his workshop at the ECT site in Villeneuve-sous-Dammartin (77).
